Mess Hall

Communal dining facility aboard a Starship. Voyager's Mess hall is located on Deck 2, section 13 and features several large forward-looking windows. Neelix is the cook aboard Voyager as Replicator's were removed in order to save power. He has installed a makeshift kitchen where the Captain's Lounge was.

The Mess Hall provides a social atmosphere as well as a dining facility for the crew.

When Kes started producing vegetables in her air garden on board, Neelix commandeered Captain Janeway's private dining room adjacent to the mess hall, turning it into a kitchen. Appointing himself Chief Cook, Neelix prepares creative concoctions for the Voyager crew, which he serves here.
